Earthquake in Japan

Posted: Mar 22nd, 2011

On Friday, March 11, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck off the northeast coast of Japan. While much of the major damage was centered to the north of the city of Kakuda, our friends there were still affected by the devastation.

You can help us help the residents of Kakuda with a donation to the Sister Cities of Greenfield Earthquake Fund, which has been set up through the Hancock County Community Foundation. Click here for information on making a donation.
