Lyndi joined the board of directors in 2004. A 1997 graduate of Greenfield-Central High School, she first made the trip to Kakuda in 1994. She received a bachelors degree from the University of Evansville in the spring of 2001 and a master’s degree in art therapy from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in May 2003.

Lyndi returned to Kakuda in 2006 as a chaperone, then visited again as a representative for the 20th Anniversary trip in 2010.

About her experience with the sister city program, Lyndi says that she had “a wonderful time in Japan, meeting new people and learning a different culture” and hopes to be able to return again.

In her spare time, Lyndi enjoys working on artwork and displaying it at art shows around the area, including Greenfield’s own Riley Festival each October. She has a website displaying her work at lyndiland.com.
