Posted: Apr 1st, 2011

Lyndi joined the board of directors in 2004. A 1997 graduate of Greenfield-Central High School, she first made the trip to Kakuda in 1994. This was her first time abroad and she has been travelling ever since.

While earning her Bachelor of Science at the University of Evansville, she spent a semester studying at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England. Lyndi then went on to earn her Master of Arts in Art Therapy Counseling at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Professionally, she is an art therapist and behavior consultant for New Hope of Indiana and is inspired by all things creative. She has served on the Sister Cities of Greenfield board of directors since 2004 and recently co-chaired the art committee for the organization, which led to the August 2025 unveiling of Bridging Communities, a mural in honor of the 35th anniversary of Sister Cities of Greenfield.

She is passionate about making Sister Cities of Greenfield visible in the community including the Greenfield-Central Community School Corporation. You can often find her making presentations for the local schools with children as young as kindergarten about Japanese culture and the Sister Cities of Greenfield program.

Lyndi’s passion for Sister Cities of Greenfield contributed to her being the 2019 Indiana Sister Cities International Volunteer of the Year.
